The purpose of the course is to introduce students to the fundamental biological processes that lead to the development and growth of cancer cells, and how the genetic and cell biology changes observed in cancer create opportunities for therapy. Students will learn about the mechanism and use of conventional cytotoxic chemotherapy, as well as several classes of targeted drugs and cutting-edge advances in immunotherapy and cell therapy
